I show you this photo, because it is one of my first memories to have sat in
this room before my first underground tour and to have been listening to a
presentation about the Ruhrkohle Bergbau AG, the company that ran the German
collieries in 1994. The presentation was done by Bernd Toenjes, who is the
chairman of the board of directors of the RAG Deutsche Steinkohle today and who
was manager of Heinrich Robert colliery (Ost colliery's former name) in 1994.
