Haus Aden colliery, seen from the stores !

 

Backside of Haus Aden colliery !


This photo displays the Haus Aden/Monopol colliery from the other side, where in earlier times the different materials were stored.

On the left side you can see shaft 1 where the coal was hoisted. It's diameter was 7.20 metres and it led into a depth of 1.056 metres. The shaft contained two hoisting units being able to transport 30 and 16 tons of coal. In this way 1.450 tons of raw coal could be brought to the surface per hour.

Right hand side you can see shaft 2 with a depth of 1.031 metres. It contained units for transportation of personnell and material.
