This photo displays the pit bank of shaft Haus
Aden 2. The gate at the left was used to fill a pit cage
that was much wider than normal in order to transport e.g. huge parts of
different mining machines down the shaft. The gates on the right made it
possible for miners and/or mine cars to enter the less wide cage.
In this picture it can be seen very well that
the last part of the rails could be lifted up. In this way it was possible to
prevent things from falling down the shaft unintentionally.
Today there is silence at Haus Aden 2 shaft....
