The blasting of Franz shaft !

On December 19th in 2003 Franz shaft and the surrounding buildings were - as you can read in the corresponding section - blown up. Because of the fact that I really enjoy remembering the foto tour at this shaft, I want to dedicate a special section to the blasting of Franz shaft.

But please do not forget one fact: By having given up Franz shaft, the Ost colliery was able to reduce costs and because of that it was a measure of rationalization.
