Foto tour at Franz shaft ! |
I did not comment on the pictures too much - just take a look at them and enjoy them. They can be seen just in the sequence I took them - beginning and ending in the machine's house. I hope to have caught the mood correctly with these photos - around the pit bank everything was left as it was during the last working day at this shaft. You always expected the miners' voices to return. Pitily one thing has to be added: On December 19th in 2003 - a Friday - the tower and the entire building around the pit bank has been blown up. By that Hamm's suburb Herringen lost an important landmark and Franz shaft's area is getting closer to being used for another purpose. Please click on the photos' small versions in order to enlarge them and to get the corresponding background information. ATTENTION: The pictures' explanations can now be found UNDER the large versions. |
