Materials like concrete are brought underground in large pipes through the
shafts. In the colliery they are mixed for example with the water and finally
pumped to their destination. The corresponding machine that mixes and pumps the
materials can be seen in this picture - and do not forget that it is taken in
a depth of about 1400 metres under the surface.
