The hoisting machine at Lerche shaft !

This photo shows the hoisting machine at Lerche shaft. The four thick ropes guarantee the required safety and a high payload.

This machine is something very special, because the engine is integrated into the driving wheel. As you can see on different photos, most other machines have an engine situated next to the driving wheel. Because of the special way this machine is built in, the required space can be reduced. The whole machine has been moved from Romberg several kilometres to it's new place in Hamm-Lerche (Germany) with heavy trucks. Only the brake shoes (red) had to be replaced.
