The process of extraction is computer-controlled !

A steel plow's control desk !

In some of the coal production areas today there is a high degree of automation in order to reduce what miners have to do, because especially in small seams there is not much space causing a heavy physical burdon. That is why most of the activities are run from the control desk at the surface.

On the right you can see the safety shields' position, in the middle the machines in the mining area are surveilled and on the left screen the coal's haulage out of the mining area, along the gateroad etc. can be controlled. There is a lot of high technology, isn't it ?
