A sinking tower is built !

This tower was situated at the Lohberg 2 shaft and because of that the photo must have been taken at the beginning of the 19th century. Sinking towers are - as the name tells us - built in order to sink shafts. By that they are a kind of predecessors for the "real" shaft towers.
