The explanation panel !


For you to be able to read what is written upon it, I enlarged the explanation panel from the previous picture.

Because it is written in German, I will sum it up for you: The Wasserfall seam is from the Upper Carbon age (320 to 269 million years ago). The layers on top of the seam are from the Cretaceous period (142 to 65 million years ago). The seam does not consist of pure coal, additionally it contains some clay.
