This is the view into a longwall mining area - on the right there
are the safety shields, in the middle there are the chains for the
transportation of the coal out of the mining area and on the left the steel plow
can be seen. Some of the shields in the background have been moved forward, yet.
The intention is to be able to push the steel plow to the coal face so that it
can cut off another slice of coal next time it passes by.
