Photo tour Ost colliery - Haus Aden/Monopol area !

The pictures on this page are taken on November 8th in 2001. On this day I had the possibility to walk around the fields of Haus Aden colliery in Bergkamen/Oberaden (Germany) - guided by an experienced miner - and take photos. For me it was the first visit at this colliery since more than four years and by that it was my first visit since it became part of the Ost colliery (Hamm). All over the fields traces of the reduction of mining activities can be found. You will see the photos with a different attitude when remembering this fact.
On the bottom of this page, you can find some of my experiments in black and white photography.

It is time to thank works council Reiner Hennig (please click on the name to contact him via e-mail) for his friendly help and his competent company during my photo tour at this fairly rainy day.

Please click on the photos' small versions in order to enlarge them and to get the corresponding background information. ATTENTION: The pictures' explanations can now be found UNDER the large versions.
